Michael Buerk will be taking part in the Royal Variety Performance on Sunday 21st December at 7pm on ITV. This year’s show will dedicate a special segment to the anniversary of Live Aid which inspired the West End musical of the same name. It was Michael’s reporting from the site of the famine in Ethiopia in 1984 that let to the creation of Live Aid concerts by Bob Geldof and the worldwide awareness of the emergency.
