Helen Carr’s new book Sceptred Isle: A New History of the Fourteenth Century will be available in bookstores and online on 29th May 2025. The book focuses on the lives of the last Plantagenets, against a backdrop of rebellion, plague and regicide. It is Helen’s third book, following The Red Prince: The Life of John of Gaunt, the Duke of Lancaster (2021) and What is History, Now? (2021).
Helen also presents Edward II – Worst King of England?, a new documentary for History Hit TV.
