Her career has seen her present coverage of all the major news stories of her time, including the death and funeral of HRH The Queen, the Coronation of King Charles, and the last two major Royal Weddings. Her career has seen her present coverage of all the major news stories of her time, including the death and funeral of HRH The Queen, the Coronation of King Charles, and the last two major Royal Weddings.
Since 2015 she has presented for every general election’s overnight programme, and fronted special programmes and podcasts on a range of stories including politics, terror attacks, the Grenfell Tower fire, the COVID-19 pandemic and the invasion of Ukraine.
She has won two personal RTS awards for her presenting, and three Programme of the Year awards while fronting ITV Evening News and ITV News London.
Her favourite story to cover was the 2012 Olympics, as she felt it was an opportunity to bring viewers a reason to celebrate, night after night.
She enjoys presenting from the studio, but much prefers being on an outside broadcast.
When not writing and fronting daily news, she’s equally comfortable on stage, and has a wealth of experience hosting conferences and awards ceremonies. Recently Nina has hosted The Press Awards, the Chartered IIA Audit & Risk Awards, Sheffield DocFest, and the NASC Conference and Exhibition.
She loves facilitating ‘in conversations’, especially with creatives, and enjoys hosting press conferences for ITV or the BFI for big dramas like Broadchurch, Breathtaking and Litvinenko.
Nina was born in Huddersfield, is a Durham graduate, has three children, and is autistic.
Her professional passions are advocating for mental health & equality. Her personal interests are travelling, music and snowboarding.
