James started his broadcasting career with the BBC, where he presented BBC Radio Bristol’s Breakfast Show until 2023. His interview in September 2022 with then Prime Minister Liz Truss made national and international news and went on to win a Broadcast Press Guild Award, with the judges describing it as “game-changing”. In 2023, he joined Times Radio, where he covered a range of programmes, including the flagship Breakfast Show. He was also the host of Frontline, Times Radio’s interview series about the war in Ukraine, which built up a global audience on YouTube of hundreds of millions of viewers.
When he’s not broadcasting, James is also an experienced event host, as comfortable chairing expert panels as he is presenting corporate awards. He’s provided voiceovers for the BBC and a range of commercial clients. Outside of work, James lives in south London and has a passion for travel, culture and sport and one of his lifetime goals is to visit every presidential library in the US!
