Sian Williams

Sian Williams is now in the last few weeks of preparation before running the London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April. She’ll be pounding the streets of London for the charity Heads Together, set up by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. The charity is an umbrella organisation for lots of mental health charities and aims to tackle the stigma around mental health.

As Sian says “I was asked to run the 26.4 miles because they can’t (something about security) and I said yes because it’s a brilliant cause and well, they’re hard to say no to...”

Sian has been finding training mentally and physically tough but we all know she can do it!

Sian Williams
Sian Williams
recently hosted the NHS Staff Awards for Univeristy College London Hospitals. They were absolutely delighted with her contribution to the awards ceremony, receiving the below feedback.

Sian was thoughtful, engaging and the perfect host for our evening – we have had many people say she was the best so far, so the bar has been set high for next year! I am not sure we will ever be able to beat it. She was great with the staff and happy to chat and take pictures with them at the end which we really appreciated. Overall, I do not think it could have gone any better.

Colleagues across the hospitals are tremendously grateful for the effort you made to join us. Thank you for being such a superb host. The positive and heartfelt remarks you made about the quality of care across the hospitals touched all of us. I know many of our team have tweeted to thank you and have been delighted to see your positive messages about UCLH on social media too.
