Jago is an archaeologist who enthusiastically promotes his passion for past cultures and in particular their relevance to issues facing contemporary society. Jago is the presenter of a new series, Lost Kingdoms of South America, for BBC4. He worked closely on all aspects of the development of this series, which explores the diverse ways in which small isolated communities can transform into large interconnected societies that grow to thrive in the challenging environments of South America. In 2008 Jago co-presented Channel 4’s Man On Earth. This series explored how humans have dealt with the impacts of climate change in the past and identified what lessons should be learnt for coping with modern global environmental change.
