Lucy Summers

Lucy has presented all sorts of TV shows, starting out as the "Letters Lady" on Countdown, through to DIY and home improvement shows for BBC. Nowadays she is well-known for her gardening activity both on ITV and Anglia, winning medals at Chelsea, was the Ideal Home magazine gardening columnist and currently author of the successful Greenfingers Guides series (published by Headline.) Titles include Climbers & Wall Shrubs, Drought Tolerant Plants, Fruit & Vegetables and Border Flowers, which was released in March 2010. New titles to the plant-based series will be released annually each spring, all designed to offer a helping hand to novice and experienced gardeners alike.

As a qualified horticulturalist Lucy has extensive, practical landscaping experience with own garden design partnership The Open Garden Company (OGC) with many clients both in the UK and overseas.

She also is involved in the restoration, building and design of bespoke houses and gardens again in the UK and overseas, so shapes up well as both garden and property all-rounder. Lucy also is happy to offer informal, chatty, home and garden speaking for various organizations, including P&O cruises.She loves her garden, plant hunting, spending time with friends, spoiing her daughter, swimming in the open air and anything to do with World War II history
