Marverine is a highly experienced journalist & broadcaster, best known for her role as an anchor for World News & Business Report on Sky News. Whilst at Sky News she amassed hundreds of broadcasting hours of live, rolling TV news and has deftly handled extraordinary Breaking News stories like the culmination of the Mumbai terror attacks, the devastating earthquake in Central Italy’s Abruzzo region, the 2009 Iranian Election results and Britain’s exciting swimming gold medal haul at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Marverine is currently busy producing a BBC Inside Out film about her passion for...wait for it....BEER. She’s also working along BBC1 Countryfile’s John Craven, co-hosting the West Midlands Digital NHS project, NHS Local, produced by award-winning indie media production company Maverick Television (the makers of Channel Four’s Embarrassing Bodies & Ten Year Younger).

She’s also the face of the Care Quality Commission’s Count Me In 2010 campaign about the Mental Health & Learning Disability Census in England and Wales. And to cap it all Marverine squeezes in time to run her own successful corporate indie, Funf Media.

Before Sky News, Marverine spent several years crafting her skills as a TV News reporter, bulletin producer and presenter on BBC's Midlands Today and ITV's Central News. Marverine’s resilience and versatility saw her covering a breadth of stories: from interviewing the families of murder victims and accompanying West Midlands Police on dawn drugs raids, to interviewing celebrities like Hollywood ‘A’ list actor, Will Smith. Marverine’s radio journalism career is also prolific - she compiled and presented Breakfast News bulletins at BBC Asian Network and BBC Radio WM.

Marverine’s expertise on crime and health stories at BBC Radio WM gifted her a weekly 3-hour talk show on the station. Her passion for radio was spotted by BBC Radio 5 Live bosses who asked her to stand in for Rhod Sharp and Dotun Adebayo on the popular Up All Night show. A popular, well-established Awards Presenter and Conference Host – Marverine’s warm and infectious personality, coupled with her mass of experience and steely professionalism means she’s an absolute joy to work with and producers and commissioners wonder why they hadn’t found her sooner.
