Joanna YarrowJoanna Yarrow is one of Britain's leading experts in green living. She combines extensive experience in applied sustainability across sectors with a flair for engaging broad audiences.

She presented BBC3’s Outrageous Wasters, is GMTV’s green expert and is a presenter on ITV's 60 Minute Makeover. Joanna regularly appears on lifestyles and current affairs programmes including Five News and Tonight With Trevor McDonald, discussing a broad range of environmental issues. Her combination of diverse presenting skills and professional expertise are in demand for a number of new environmentally-themed projects.

Joanna wrote 1001 Ways You Can Save the Planet, How to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint and Ecological! – books designed to make green living easy and enjoyable. She writes a monthly ‘Everyday Eco’ column for Country Homes and Interiors Magazine.

She has fronted a number of high-profile environmental consumer campaigns, regularly appears in the print media as a commentator on green issues, and speaks at, chairs and hosts conferences and events.

She’s a founder of sustainability company Beyond Green (www.beyondgreen.co.uk), which runs practical sustainability projects - from corporate sustainability strategies and action plans to designing and developing sustainable communities.

Joanna has a degree in Human Sciences from Oxford University and a Masters degree in Sustainable Development. In July 2008 she received an honorary doctorate from Staffordshire University in recognition of her work on sustainability and climate change.

She lives in Wilderness Wood, a 60-acre Sussex working woodland which she is developing into an example of rural sustainability in action (www.wildernesswood.co.uk).
