Stewart Purvis’s career is probably unique in its range across journalism, management and regulation. A BBC News trainee, he spent over thirty years at ITN, winning many awards. He edited Channel 4 News before becoming the Editor in Chief and Chief Executive of ITN. He is a former partner for content and standards of Ofcom and is now a Professor of Television Journalism at City University.
