James Max is an accomplished Radio and TV presenter with an expertise in business and finance with a flair for debates on current affairs. He presents Saturday Breakfast and The Sunday Afternoon Show on London's Biggest Conversation, the talk radio station, LBC 97.3
 
 
James first came to prominence in the first series of BBC's The Apprentice, becoming an immensely popular candidate reaching the semi-finals.

As well as his business acumen, gained from 15 years experience in investment banking, finance and property, he has demonstrated an aptitude to presenting on both television and radio. He is a qualified chartered surveyor, property and business expert. Aside from his current radio shows, he has covered a range of shows on LBC 97.3, contributed as an expert and become a familiar voice on the station, building his audience and experience. Prior to his work at LBC he wrote and presented the daily Business Updates on TalkSPORT as well as having his own shows on the station and covering for many of their presenters.

James is also a regular contributor to Jeremy Vine's show on BBC Radio 2.

After writing for Property Week Magazine for two years, James was asked to develop a podcast format. It has now become a highly popular element with thousands of downloads every month. Not only a presenter, James produces and writes the podcasts which cover a range of property related and financial subjects with some lifestyle and humour thrown in for good measure. www.propertyweek.com/podcast The podcast was the central part of a submission to the recent Association of Online Publishers Awards, winning in the  "Editorial Team of the Year" category.

On television, James is carving a niche in his areas of real expertise, property and business. In August 2008, James presented an episode of Dispatches for Channel 4. Entitled How The Bankers Never Lose James tried to chase down the chief executives of Britain's biggest banks asking whether their strategies had led to the credit crunch. Regularly reviewing the newspapers for Sky News, James has earnt a reputation for incisive and opinionated comment on the day's big stories. He regularly appears on GMTV as the station's property expert commenting on economic and property issues.

He also co-presented Profit from Property, Property Pensions and Property Boot Camp for Overseas Property TV. James dispensed practical property and financial advice to contributors with a certain charm and style. And he was the business expert on E4's Harvey Goldsmith - The Encore.

James has written and produced a number of podcasts for Global Radio, including the highly popular Apprentice Podcast, Cashpoint (a monthly money podcast) and "Buy It Sell It Rent It" (concentrating on the residential property market).

James is an accomplished public speaker with recent engagements launching an apprentice scheme for The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and a keynote speech at the BCSC's annual shopping centre management conference, appearances at A Place In The Sun LIVE! and at a property industry luncheon and Lloyds TSB's small business exhibition. He has also hosted a range of awards ceremonies, notably the London Knowledge Transfer Awards, Shell Step final, an entrepreneurial competition for graduates and LBC News 1152's City Life Awards. He's debated at The Cambridge Union and addressed The Oxford Union and regularly speaks at universities and schools on careers, business and the media. He has developed a real knack of presiding over lively topical debates and discussions for corporate clients.
